I spent twenty years (1977-1997) in the Thoroughbred racing industry as an exercise rider, riding every kind of Thoroughbred from cheap claimers to a Kentucky Derby winner (Unbridled-see photo below). During those years, I worked at racetracks in my native California, as well as Kentucky, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, Arkansas, New Jersey, Louisiana, etc. I now live in Aspen, Colorado with my husband, a pet rabbit, and a retired racehorse whose sire is the great Secretariat.
